Jerry Smith, CSCP
Jerry Smith served 21 years in the Air Force as a munitions systems specialist, a specialized supply chain within the military supply chain. Since retiring, he has also worked as a contractor for CBP and at Raytheon Missile Systems.
His positions include; mechanic, flight-line support crew member, bomb renovation plant crew member, plant support section supervisor, quality assurance evaluator, munitions inspector, maintenance support section supervisor, delivery shift supervisor, assistant section supervisor munitions storage, section supervisor munitions operations control, inspection, delivery, precision guide missiles, superintendent systems section and material section responsible for the inventory, shipping & receiving, inspection, warehouse and delivery of munitions. He has served as a transportation officer and his latest position was as a senior logistics specialist for life cycle engineering section responsible for the technical development of maintenance, inspection and test procedures.
Jerry has an AS in Automotive Techniques and management from The National Education Center Vale Technical institute (now WyoTech) in 1984, an AS in Munitions Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force in 1996 and a BS in Technical Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2012. Jerry was certified as CSCP in 2011. He has experience and training with MRP databases, TQM, Lean implementations and has been a member of APICS since 2010, Jerry is an instructor for CSCP, Global Sourcing and Lean Enterprise.
