Senior Buyer2010-08-25Juniper Systems
At Juniper Systems, we design, manufacture and build the world’s most rugged handheld computers. We currently have a great opportunity for a proactive, self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic to join our Purchasing Department as a Senior Buyer. Key responsibilities include: • Perform and assist with existing and new Supplier Evaluations and Certification, including supplier visits. • Evaluate suppliers by commodity to align strategic partnerships. • Research of parts, setting up part ties and part folders, purchasing functions for new parts, end of life parts and additional MPN sources to meet purchasing goals and internal/external customer requirements. • Works with suppliers on non-conforming product. • Works with suppliers for DFM (design for manufacturing) on new and existing components. • Make purchasing decisions that assist in achieving goals for inventory turns while meeting S&OP plan part requirements with focus on COG containment. • Research sales records, inventory levels of current stock, find foreign and domestic suppliers and stay current on any changes in either the supplier of or demand for needed products and materials. • Review inventory part requirements: (inventory turns, purchase options; VMI’s, partnership agreements, placement and tracking of orders) • Cost Roll-Ups, Purchase Price Variance review and updating – additional end of month reporting. • Cross trained to assist in areas covered by the Purchasing / Planning group, as needed (i.e.- buying non–inventory items, projects, research, etc.) Qualifications and Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, related field or equivalency of five to ten years of purchasing experience. • C.P.M, CIPM, CPSM or CSCP Certification required. Certification through APICS preferred. • Knowledge and proven experience in the procurement field with multiple commodities. Experience in mechanical or electrical procurement preferred. • Proven ability to make procurement and supplier decisions. • Proficiency in the use of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Word/Excel.

Production Control Manager2010-07-29Inline Plastics Corp.
Inline Plastics Corp., headquartered in Shelton, Connecticut, is a leading manufacturer with 40 years experience in providing high quality, crystal clear clamshell packaging and packaging automation solutions for the food industry. We have the following opportunity available for our 24/7 plant in Utah.

This position develops the plant’s manufacturing plan by applying forecasting techniques to quarterly and historical sales data. Analyzes inventory levels of raw materials and corrugated in conjunction with the manufacturing plan to develop the material requirements plan (MRP). Prepares, enters and follows up on purchase orders and communicates with vendors and expedites as necessary. Creates, maintains and updates various manufacturing and inventory reports.

To qualify, the candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology or Business majoring in Operations Management, from a 4 year college in addition to 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with operations that deal with build to stock and batch manufacturing. Strong analytical and computer skills (ie. Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets and data base programming). Familiarity with made to Manage2Manage Systems (TMM) business software highly desirable. APICS certification strongly preferred.
